This charming Sellwood home underwent a complete remodel of the first floor with a small addition to the kitchen. We removed four structural walls on the main floor to create one great room. A large steel beam was used to carry the load of a previous second-story addition. To unite the new and old areas of the house, custom-matched stains on the hemlock trim, built-ins, and fireplace were used. Salvaged studs from the demo phase were used to create a unique and special vanity and dining table to connect the present and past in this timeless home.
